In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Runwick like this:
RUNWICK, a tything in Farnham parish, Surrey; adjacent to the W end of Farnham town. Real property, £3, 938. Pop., 305. Willey House is the residence of O. Ward, Esq. Dippen Hall was the seat of T. B. Mill, Esq., but was taken down about 1850; and terracotta and brick-works were established near its site.
