In 1887, John Bartholomew's Gazetteer of the British Isles described Cadmore End like this:
Cadmore End, eccl. dist. (St Mary) and hamlet, Fingest par. (Bucks), and Lewknor and Stokenchurch pars. (Oxford), pop. 263. The hamlet is on the SE. border of Oxfordshire.
