DUDCOTT, Dudcote, or Didcot, a parish in Wallingford district, Berks; on the Great Western railway, at the deflection of the branch to Oxford, 5½ miles W of Wallingford. It has a station on the railway, and a post office under Wallingford. Acres, £1, 094. Real property, £2, 002. ...


Pop., 349. Houses, 75. The property is much subdivided. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Oxford. Value, £397. Patron, Brazenose College, Oxford. The church is chiefly perpendicular English, in good condition; and the churchyard contains a picturesque stone cross and some fine yew trees.
