Dolwyddelan, par. and vil. with ry. sta., Carnarvonshire, 7 miles SW. of Llanrwst, 14,384 ac., pop. 1275; P.O. Dolwyddelan Castle, ruin, on an adjacent rock, was the birthplace of Llewellyn the Great.
