Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for WREXHAM, MOLD, and CONNAHS-QUAY RAILWAY

WREXHAM, MOLD, and CONNAHS-QUAY RAILWAY, a railway-system in the NE of Wales; comprising a line from Wrexham to Buckley, with branches, aggregately 12½ miles long, authorized in 1862; an extension to Whitchurch and Brymbo, 20 miles long, authorized in 1864; an extension to Farndon in the Dee valley, 8 miles long, authorized in 1865; an extension to Connahs-Quay, 18 miles long, authorized in 1865; and an extension from Hawarden to Buckley, 3¼ miles long, authorized in 1866.
