Talacre  Flintshire

In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Talacre like this:

TALACRE, a seaport village in Llanasaph parish, Flint; near the Chester and Holyhead railway, 1½ mile WSW of the Point of Air, and 7½ NW of Holywell. An act was passed in 1866 for constructing here a branch-railway ¼ of a mile long, a pier, and a harbour, at a cost of £200,000. Good coal mines and valuable free stone quarries are in the vicinity. T. house is the seat of Sir P. Mostyn, Bart.
