COVENHAM-ST. MARY, a parish in Louth district, Lincoln; adjacent to the Boston and Grimsby railway and to the Louth navigation, 2 miles SE of Ludborough r. station, and 4½ NNE of Louth. Post town, Covenham, under Louth. Acres, 950. Real property, £1, 565. Pop., 196. Houses, 46. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln. Value, £197. Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church is decorated English, in tolerable condition; and contains an Easter sepulchre in the north wall of the chancel. Charities, £32.
