The parish contains also the hamlet of Tooley-Park; and its post town is Hinckley. Acres, with Knoll and Bassett-House extra-parochial tract, 2,020. Real property, £4, 374. Pop. of P. alone, 378. Houses, 75. The property is much subdivided. The manor belongs to Lord Lovelace. P. Hall is the seat of T. Jee, Esq.; and P. House, of Mrs. Mayne. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough. Value, £474.* Patron, the Rev. T. E. Chataway. The church is old but good, and has a tower and spire. Charities, £5.
