POULTON-CUM-SEACOMBE, a township in Wallasey parish, Cheshire; on Wallasey pool and the river Mersey, opposite Liverpool, and in the N vicinity of Birkenhead. It contains the Birkenhead suburb of Seacombe, and is conterminate with Seacombe chapelry. Acres, 1,069; of which 400 are water. Real property, £18, 718. Pop. in 1851, 3,044; in 1861, 3, 683.
