Hugh Town, capital of the Scilly Islands, situated on the western side of an isthmus which connects the main body of St Mary's Island with the elevated promontory at its NE. extremity; P.O., T.O., called Scilly; consists chiefly of one long street, and has a good harbour and pier, and a fine park and promenade.
