Market Weighton, market town and par., East-Riding Yorkshire, 17 miles NE. of Selby and 191 N. of London by rail - par., 7354 ac., pop. 2309; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank. Market-day, Wednesday. The town is situated at the terminus of the Market Weighton Canal, by means of which it carries on a considerable trade with the Humber.
