Penwortham, par. and township, N. Lancashire, on r. Kibble, on SW. side of Preston - par., 11,288 ac. (1326 water), pop. 5553; township, 2271 ac., pop. 1642; P.O. Penwortham Hall, Penwortham Lodge, and Penwortham Priory are seats. Part of Penwortham will be added to the borough of Preston on June 1, 1889.
