Tysoe, par. and vil., Warwickshire, 6 miles NE. of Shipston on Stour and 9 NW. of Banbury, 4710 ac., pop. 998; P.O.; the vil. of Tysoe dates from before the Conquest; on the sandstone hill opposite the church is cut a figure called the Bed Horse, which gives name to the adjacent vale.
