Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Reculver

Reculver, coast par. and vil., Kent, 3 miles E. of Herne Bay and 9 miles W. of Margate, 1221 ac. and 327 foreshore, pop. 298; was the site of the Roman station of Regulbium, of a palace of Ethelbert King of Kent, and of a monastery of 7th century.
