Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Woodside

Woodside, a mansion in the parish and near the town of Beith, Ayrshire. An old edifice, enlarged and modernised in the latter half of the 18th century, and again in 1848, it was a seat of the Ralstons from 1551 till 1772, and in 1834 was purchased by Wm. Patrick, Esq.
