Dalmullin or Dalmelling, a place in St Quivox parish, Ayrshire, 1¾ mile E by N of Ayr. A Gilbertine priory was founded here in 1230 by Walter, Lord High Steward of Scotland; but in 1238 it became a cell of Paisley Abbey.
