Full Description:

We have yet to locate a reliable reference work for Irish local government units. The term "Corporate Town" appears in the General Report of the Census of Ireland for 1851, in the section on "Territorial Divisions" on p. viii, and would seem to cover the two towns which appear in the "Barony" column of the parish listing, but are not cities, i.e. Belfast and Drogheda.
