In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Nantmor like this:
NANTMOR, a hamlet in Beddgelert parish, Merioneth; 5½ miles N N E of Tremadoc. Real property, £1,072; of which £20 are in mines, and £40 in quarries. Pop., 332.
