Place:

Shuff Fen  Lincolnshire

In 1887, John Bartholomew's Gazetteer of the British Isles described Shuff Fen like this:

Shuff Fen, uninhabited par., Lincolnshire, in Boston dist., 90 ac.

The location is that shown on the OS 1st Series map for "Shuff Fen", which seems to be to the south-west of the location for the parish shown crudely in the Boston area enlargement on the 1888 Sanitary Districts Diagram for Lincolnshire, given its location relative to the boundary of Boston parish as overlaid by us on the New Popular OS map.
