DITTON, a parish in Malling district, Kent; near the river Medway, 1¾ mile SSW of Aylesford r. station, and 3½ NW of Maidstone. Post town, Aylesford, under Maidstone. Acres, 1, 075. Real property, £2, 378. Pop., 255. Houses, 51. The property is divided among a few. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Canterbury. Value, £298. Patron the Earl of Aylesford. The church is decorated English; and has been carefully restored.
