Whitsome  Berwickshire


In 1887, John Bartholomew's Gazetteer of the British Isles described Whitsome like this:

Whitsome, par. and hamlet, in SE. of Berwickshire - par., on Leet Water, 4896 ac., pop. 560; hamlet, 6 miles S. of Chirnside; P.O.; was burned by the English in 1482.
