Chirnside, par. and vil., 1 mile E. of its ry. sta., mid. Berwickshire, 4¾ miles NE. of Duns and 50½ miles SE. of Edinburgh-par., 5553 ac., pop. 1516; vil., pop. 939; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank.
