WAGHEN, or Wawn, a township and a parish in Beverley district, E. R. Yorkshire. The township lies 4¼ miles SE of Beverley r. station; contains a village of its own name; and has a post-office under Beverley. Acres, 3,695. Real property, £5,591. Pop., 322. Houses, 46. The parish contains also Meaux township, and comprises 5,085 acres. Pop., 408. Houses, 60. The property is subdivided. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of York. Value, £300.* Patron, the Archbishop of York. The church is good. Charities, £15.
