NEWLAND, a township in Drax parish, W. R. Yorkshire; on the river Aire, 3¾ miles N E by E of Snaith. Acres, 2, 104. Real property, £3, 676. Pop., 301. Houses, 73. Newland Park is a chief residence. A neatsmall church was built here in 1832.
