NEWTON-BY-TOFT, a parish in Caistor district, Lincoln; 3½ miles N N W of Wickenby r. station, and 4 W S W of Market-Rasen. Post-town, Market-Rasen-Acres, 1,004. Real property, £1, 164. Pop., 81. Houses, 15. The property is divided among a few. The manor belongs to P. S. Wilkinson, Esq. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln. Value, £180. Patron, P. S. Wilkinson, Esq. The church was rebuilt in 1860; and has not a tower. There are a Wesleyan chapel, and charities £15.
