HESSAY, a township in Monkton-Moor parish, E. R. Yorkshire; on the York and Harrogate railway, 5¼ miles WNW of York. It has a station on the railway. Acres, 1, 120. Real property, £1, 626. Pop., 127. Houses, 28. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
