HACKTHORN, a parish in the district and county of Lincoln; near Ermine street, 5 miles NW of Longworth r. station, and 7 N by E of Lincoln. It has a post office under Lincoln. Acres, 2, 890. Real property, £3, 263. Pop., 234. Houses, 45. The property is divided between two. The manor, with Hackthorn Hall, belongs to W.Amcott, Esq. The living is a vicarage, unitedwith the rectory of Cold Hanworth, in the diocese of Lincoln. Value, £260.* Patron, W.Amcott, Esq. The church is good.
