COWTON (North), a township in Gilling parish, N. R. Yorkshire; adjacent to the Richmond railway, 1¼ mile E by N of Catterick. Acres, 1, 321. Real property, £1, 970; of which £175 are in railways. Pop., 312. Houses, 82.
