Chambers. Limestone occurs; and many Roman remains have been found. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Lincoln. Value, £126.* Patron, Oriel College, Oxford. The church is partly Norman, partly of later dates; and has a fine spire and a font. There are a Wesleyan chapel, and charities £6.
