SADDINGTON, a parish in Market-Harborough district, Leicester; around a hill, adjacent to the Unioncanal, 2 miles S W of Kibworth r. station, and 6 N W by W of Market-Harborough. Post-town, Market-Harborough. Acres, 1,050. Real property, £3, 200. Pop., 259. Houses, 61. The property is subdivided. ...


The Union canal has here a reservoir of 57 acres; and passesthrough a tunnel, 2, 400 feet long, on the N E boundary. There is a mineral spring. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough. Value, £320.* Patron, the Lord Chancellor. The church is good; and there are a Baptist chapel, and charities £32.
