MERIADOG, a township in St. Asaph parish, Denbigh; on the river Clwyd, 1 mile S of St. Asaph. Acres, with Wygfair, 3,046. Real property of M. alone, £1,306. Pop., 335. Houses, 69. Numerous limestone caves are here, from 30 to 40 feet high; and the rocks abound in fossils, and have veins of barytes.
