NUNNY-KIRK, a township in Nether Witton parish, Northumberland; on the river Font, 8½ miles N W of Morpeth. Acres, 111. Pop., 31. Houses, 4. Nunny-Kirk House is the seat ofW. Orde, Esq., and stands in a richly-wooded park. A chapel was anciently built here by the abbot of Newminster, and gave rise to the name Nunny-Kirk. .
