RANWORTH, a parish in Blofield district, Norfolk; on a lake or "broad" communicating with the river Bure, 3¾ miles N W of Acle, and 4¾ N E by N of Brun-dall r. station. Post-town, Acle, under Norwich. Acres, with Panxworth, 1, 902. Real property, £4,091. Pop., of R. alone, 282. Houses, 61. The property is divided among a few. The manor, with R. Hall, belongs to J. Kerrison, Esq. There is a large malting establishment. The living is a vicarage, united with the vicarage of Upton, in the diocese of Norwich. Value, £308.* Patron, the Bishop of Norwich. The church is good, and has a very beautiful screen. There is a Baptist chapel.
