ROSEDALE-WEST-SIDE, a township-chapelry in Lastingham parish, N. R. Yorkshire; at Rosedale village, and on the W side of the river Severn. Acres, 7, 900. Real property, £1,094; of which £200 are in mines. Pop.in 1851, 175; in 1861, 338. Houses, 53. The living is annexed to the vicarage of Lastingham. The church ispart of the ancient priory of Rosedale.
