Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for BURY

BURY, a seat near Hemel-Hempstead, in Herts. It belonged once to the Waterhouses, and passed to the Wigginses. The house is chiefly modern, but includes part of a previous one in which Henry VIII. visited J. Waterhouse.
