HUNSTON, a parish in Westhampnett district, Sussex; on the Arundel and Portsmouth canal, near the South Coast railway, 2 miles S of Chichester. Posttown, Chichester. Acres, 1,003. Real property, £1,873. Pop., 176. Houses, 37. The property is subdivided. The manor belonged formerly to Boxgrove priory. The living is a vicarage, annexed to the vicarage of North Mundham, in the diocese of Chichester. The church consists of nave, S aisle, and chancel; and is ancient but good.
