Thorney.-- par. and ry. sta., Cambridgeshire, 7 miles NE. of Peterborough, 17,590 ac., pop. 2055; P.O, T.O. Thorney was the seat of a monastery founded in 662; the church includes portions of the ancient abbey church, rebuiltin 1128, and madeparochialin 1638.
