Ballachulish, vil. with steamboat pier, on Loch Leven, 16½ miles S. of Fort-William, N. Argyllshire, pop. 1019; P.O., T.O. An extensive slate quarry is here, and 2 miles NW. is B. Ferry, by which the roads from Appin and Tyndrum and the road to Fort-William are connected.
