Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Dunglass

Dunglass.-- promontory, on the Clyde, in co. and 2½ miles E. of Dumbarton; is crowned with ruins of an ancient castle of the Colquhouns of Luss, and an obelisk to the memory of Henry Bell (1767-1830), who introduced steam navigation into Britain.
