Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Cart

Cart, affluent of Clyde, Renfrewshire; is formed by the union of the Black Cart and White Cart at Inchinnan Bridge, and flows 1 mile N. to Clyde 1¼ mile N. of Renfrew. Black Cart issues from Castle Semple Loch, Lochwinnoch par., and flows 9 miles NE.; White Cart rises on the moors of Eaglesham, and flows 18½ miles N. and W.
