Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Pater (or Pembroke Dock)

Pater (or Pembroke Dock), on NW. side and in bor. of Pembroke; Pater was a small village until 1814, when the Royal Dockyard for the construction of ships of war was removed thither from Milford Haven. See PEMBROKE and PEMBROKE DOCK.
