Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Troup House

Troup House, a mansion in Gamrie parish, Banffshire, near the coast, and 3 miles ENE of Gardenstown. Built about 1772, it is the seat of Francis William Garden-Campbell, Esq. (b. 1840; suc. 1848), who holds 9546 acres in the shire, valued at £5794 per annum.—Ord. Sur., sh. 97, 1876.
