Okehampton (or Oakhampton), ancient bor., market town, and par., Devon, at confluence of rivers East Okement and West Okement, 26 miles W. of Exeter and 197 miles from London by rail - par., 9552 ac., pop. 2292; town, pop. 1695; P.O.
