SWARDESTON, a parish, with a village, in Henstead district, Norfolk; 1¾ mile WNW of Swainsthorpe r. station, and 4 SSW of Norwich. It has a post-office under Norwich. Acres, 933. Real property, £2,427. Pop., 385. houses, 76. The manor belongs to J. Stewart and H. Gurney, Esqs. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Norwich. Value, £180.* Patron, J. Stewart, Esq. The church is good; and there are a Wesleyan chapel and a village school.
