In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Frogmore like this:

FROGMORE, a village in Charleton, Sherford, and South Pool parishes, Devon; on Salcombe haven, 2 miles SSE of Kingsbridge. It has a post office under Kings-bridge, and coal wharves, limekilns, and granaries.
