TARRETBURN, a township in Bellingham parish, Northumberland; 4½ miles NW of Bellingham. Pop., 206. Houses, 41.
The location is by the "Tarret Burn" as marked on Ordnance Survey maps, but this is the location given by GENUKI (http://www.bpears.org.uk/genuki/NBL/Bellingham/Maps.html, accessed 14/1/2011) and fits the location given by the Bartholomew and Imperial gazetteers.
