Kilbride, West, small town and par. with ry. sta., NW. Ayrshire.- par., 10,119 ac., pop. 2088; town, on Kilbride Burn, 4¼. miles NW. of Ardrossan, pop. 1363; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank. West Kilbride is an ancient place; its mfrs. were at one time considerable.
