STAINTON-DALE, a township in Scalby parish, N. R. Yorkshire; on the coast, 8½ miles NNW of Scarborough. Acres, 2,945; of which 165 are water. Real property, £2,020. Pop., 347. Houses, 62. S. Cliffs command a striking sea-view.
