THURLOXTON, a parish in Bridgewater district, Somerset; 2¼ miles W by N of Durston Junction r. station, and 4½ SSW of Bridgewater. Post town, North Petherton, under Bridgewater. Acres, 551. Real property, £1,587. Pop., 207. Houses, 41. The manor belongs to Lord Portman. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Bath and Wells. Value, £170. Patron, Lord Portman. The church is ancient.
