A: Wherever possible, the initial view of each theme uses the most recent data available presented for modern local authorities. We then try to give you the option of viewing the same or closely equivalent data for the same units for earlier dates, based on our re-districting historical data to the modern units. However, we also give you the option of viewing the historical data using the original historical units, which will often reveal additional detail.
